NUS Survey on How Heat Stress Affects Workers and Employers

31 May 2022 Announcements

In a warming world, what we did to manage heat yesterday may not be enough for today, and what we do today may not be enough for tomorrow. Project HeatSafe, led by the National University of Singapore, is now conducting a series of surveys to gather information on how heat exposure affects employers and workers.

The results will be analysed by an interdisciplinary team of scientists spanning across thermal physiology, epidemiology, economics, and sociology, to determine the extent of the impact of heat stress for Singapore, and the management strategies that can be adopted so that we can thrive, and not just survive.

Project HeatSafe is inviting individuals aged 21 and above, who work in a heat-exposed environment, to participate in the survey:

- I am an employer or I manage a team
- I am a worker

The survey will take about 20 minutes, and participants will receive an e-voucher worth $10. Your information will be kept strictly confidential.

Together we can keep our workplaces safer and healthier.
